Do you feel that there’s never enough time or money to make your idea / business work? Do you worry that there are other people with similar ideas / businesses to you, but there’s only you doing your work? Or that you have an idea that people may not get or doesn’t yet exist?
Kate Taylor will help us gain confidence and show us creative ways of reaching our business goals. She’ll also tell us how to use community to ‘crowdfund’ an idea and turn it into a reality so that we can turn our purposed-based business into a profitable business Idea.
Kate Taylor is a leading creativity and empowerment coach and creative business mentor, enabling people to seek out their ‘why’ so they can live a life on their own terms. Described as being ‘Seven shades of sexy meets a skyscraper of smarts’, Kate’s on a one-woman-mission to help others live life full of creative expression in order to live well, work well, and feel good.
Most of us want to leave a legacy in this lifetime. We want our life, our business and the work we do in this world to have purpose and meaning. We want to be of service. We want to make it count. But we also want it to be sustainable and profitable.
In this one-off talk for the Brighton Healthy Business Hub, creativity and empowerment coach, and creator of the Practical Magic Activation Deck, Kate Taylor shares how she’s turned her life’s purpose into a multi-hyphenated business with the help of aligning to her values and what being of service means in creating a business with meaning. As well as understanding the power of passion and community in equal measure to help build a sustainable and profitable business.
Kate will cover the following topics:
- How connecting to your purpose means creating business and creative opportunities
- Aligning your vision to being of service in a way that means you show up for you and your ‘customers’
- How you can build a multi-hyphenated business based around your key values
- The power of community to help you reach your goals
- The importance of asking for help
At all our events we ALSO have one or two pop-up promotions (PUP’s) from local healthy business owners offering discounts and free samples to Hub attendees on the night.
In September we are delighted to welcome Síofra Lamb of Sísí Holistic Beauty with a selection of her handmade 100% natural and mostly organic skin-care range. Siofra’s range is crafted to nurture skin health rather than covering up skin problems.
“My products are ethically made, I do not use oils which are derived from endangered plant species and I avoid using essential oils which require chemical extraction, my focus is on simplicity”.
Products will be available on the night with a 15% discount on full range.
Our SECOND great pop-up is from a Brighton based jewellery designer and metalsmith. “I make unique, modern jewellery, handmade to order. Made mainly from silver and brass I incorporate crystals into some of my designs.”
Lulu loves crystals for the wonderful qualities and meanings they have and is often asked to create jewellery with crystals for specific reasons and health benefits. Lulu will also be offering a 10% discount on the night. Check out Lulu McQueen’s Etsy shop.
