Kelly discovered Bowen after witnessing the profound positive effect it had in treating her mother’s chronic hip pain. With a short background in massage, Kelly then qualified as a Bowen Therapist in 2011 with the College of Bowen Studies.
It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself, providing a simple and effective way to deal with pains, both physical and emotional. As a soft tissue therapy, gentle rolling type moves are used to disturb the underlying fascia, muscle and organs. Most of these moves can be made through light clothing with the client lying, sitting or standing. All of this makes Bowen a suitable therapy for everyone from the newborn to athletes and the elderly.
Kelly has recently moved to Brighton from Canterbury and is excited to be joining the team at Brighton and Hove Therapies.
