What is Breathwork / Rebirthing?
Breathwork uses a circular in and out breath that energises the body and nervous system, which has the effect of releasing stuck patterns in the body and mind. One way to look at it is as a facilitated mindfulness and energy medicine combined, working under the surface, on both the nervous and limbic systems.
Clients usually lie down fully clothed on a mat on the floor with cushions (and blankets if needed) for comfort and warmth.
With the client’s permission, occasionally, the Therapist may touch the client’s hands, head, chest, stomach and also legs and feet very gently. There are no vigorous movements and the client has to give consent beforehand to any contact.
What can Breathwork / Rebirthing be used for?
Sessions can be used to clear long-held blockages caused by bereavement, loss, rejection and trauma. Consider booking a session to work through post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), creativity blocks, emotional struggles with fear, anger, sadness, anxiety, depression, stress and also phobias.
What are the benefits of Breathwork / Rebirthing therapy?
Clarity of mind and heart, feeling more resourceful, feeling unburdened, feeling more aware and centred, as well as feeling more grounded in the body.
Who is Breathwork / Rebirthing therapy good for?
Anyone over the age of 16 years who is ready to start to clear emotional blockages. Clients should be prepared for possible emotional challenges and even physical discomfort but the client is also in charge of how deep they want to go. The process is managed in a slow, controlled manner within a safe and nurturing space, which allows real change to take place.
